2021.10.23 10:24 Cavernjuice how much should i charge for figma design?

I feel like I underpaid myself to be honest charging $100 usd per page for a 6 page web design and the amount of revision and work doesn't amount up to it. and if i charge hourly how would i keep in touch of the design with the client since i usually finish fast but getting inspiration and reference is the thing that makes me longer? I'm new to figma freelancing so can someone please help. Thanks

2021.10.23 10:24 alexfduarte American Football is a misnomer

Disclaimer: Not here to hate or play the sport, but it’s hard to ignore the name as it is so popular in the US.
The name implies the game is played with ones foot and a ball. That’s not the case with American Football. The game is played 5% of the time with ones foot. That amount should not be able to grant the game the name. The crazy part is, in the US, someone thought it was a great idea to change the name of actual football to soccer. Now, when speaking to anyone about Football, you have to say Soccer cause they won’t know what the hell you’re talking about.. you’re like, “nah, not that Football, Soccer” which makes one feel crazy because you know that’s not the actual name.

2021.10.23 10:24 yoyomama79 Stupid Question of the Day: What does Shapo say when he makes a good shot/is pumped?

So I've been watching Shapo for a while and love his game (when it's on, that is!). I've always been curious, though...I can't ever figure out what he's screaming when he makes a great shot. I know he's Canadian with Russian heritage (with some Israeli, too), so is it French or Russian, by any chance? Or Hebrew, even?

2021.10.23 10:24 VTOLguy So THAT's where that Oct. 22nd date came from! ...

"The Company’s previously announced Letter of Intent provided for the two parties to enter into the definitive merger agreement with a target date of October 22, 2021."
The text above explains that the Oct. 22nd date mentioned in XERI's original press release announcement in Sept. was simply a "target date" cited in the Letter of Intent -- and was never intended to be a strict "deadline."

Hi Solve.Care Community, This week, we started a 6-day teaser competition towards the reveal of a new mysterious partnership that will be huge for Solve.Care. We have published our Solve.Care Updates covering all the events that happened in September. We had a great AMA about Solve.Care with the KuCoin community. And our educational contest where you can earn your share of a 10,000 $BUSD reward pool is still ongoing!
1. A Big Reveal is Coming... And a Bit of Fun!
We will be revealing a brand-new partnership on October 26th! In anticipation of what’s to come, we are having a fun competition that you can take part in.
Over 6 days, from the 20th to 25th of October, we are revealing 1 clue every single day as to who this mystery partner is, right up to our big announcement on the 26th. Each day at 1.00pm UTC, a new clue will appear on our official Twitter and Facebook social media channels.
Once the clue is announced in Telegram, you are eligible to submit 1 (one) guess per day, which will earn you 50 community points. If you submit more than 1 guess, only the first guess will be taken as the entry for the day. In total, there are 300 community points up for grabs (1 guess/day x 50 pts x 6 days). You must post your guess in our official Telegram group within 24 hours and before the next clue is revealed.
That’s not all. The first 5 participants to guess correctly will each receive a 20$ Amazon gift card.
Head over to our Official Telegram Group to join the fun!
2. Solve.Care Updates: September Newsletter
September was an exciting month. Global Telehealth Exchange (GTHE) officially launched in India, and we had the honor of having it inaugurated by the National President of the Indian Medical Association, Prof. Dr. J.A. Jayalal. We sent a team to Washington DC which had the opportunity to speak to US government agencies at the 'Blockchain & Infrastructure' seminar hosted by the Government Blockchain Association. Pradeep had some great one-on-one interviews, a podcast, and took part in a panel with Adam Jackson, Bill Ottman, and Jack O'Holleran. And GTHE has a brand new look!
Check out ‘Solve.Care Updates’ for the month of September.
We hope you enjoy the reading.
3. KuCoin AMA with Solve.Care
Solve.Care made itself known to KuCoin's massive community this week in an incredible AMA! The KuCoin community had some excellent questions which were expertly answered by our brilliant Community Manager Anastasiia Morozova.
Check out how we shared Solve.Care's exciting accomplishments and incredible vision with this new audience starting here.
4. How Telehealth Supports Andrology
Andrology is a specialty of medicine that focuses on urological problems men face and on the male reproductive system. In relation to other medical specialties, it has only recently been deemed a specialty of its own having only been considered an area of study since the late 1960s. Telehealth can be a good aide for andrologists to help their patients through many different issues. In the case of infertility or family planning, andrologists are able to digitally examine a patient’s medical history and easily provide advice or treatment plans. Read more in our latest blog post.

2021.10.23 10:24 PepsiColaMirinda Curious about side gig opportunities in Blore.

To be more specific,I'm wondering how I'll get started on finding a part time job/something with flexible hours that is centred around content/technical writing and research.
For some context,I'm a recent CS grad('21 batch) whose main talents beyond coding happen to be in the writing department (and HPR skills but that's not relevant right now I think). I will be moving to Blore in a month or three depending on some familial circumstances. The short term plan is to do an internship based off my UG(for about 6 months) and use that time to figure out if I want to do an MBA or a PG course in general. And to use the time in the city to network and build connections.
But in the meantime, the writing is another avenue that I want to explore. I don't have much to my name in the field beyond a dead instagram page and a few random bits and pieces in various corners of the internet (this account included). I plan to counteract that by offering to write a few free trial pieces and letting a prospective employer judge my skills based off that, possibly.
The problem is,while I have a rough idea about where to start looking for a CS internship,I have absolutely no clue about the content/technical writing industry .
Any advice at all is appreciated!
I'm not limited to any field, although I'm well versed in just about anything tech and sport. I quite like the research aspect involved and wouldn't mind looking into something I have no clue about.
P.S: not entirely sure if this should've gone into the sticky thread, bear with me please.
